2 Corinthians 5:5-8 (New King James Version)

Today I spent time being in service to a best friend and the wife of my best friend. The events of the early morning brought us together at J.L Ketelsen Elementary where she works.

As the day started there was joy in the halls coming from laughing kids in route to their next assigned class. As they walked past her office they peered in with curiosity as to what might be happening inside. I was filled with joy to see the smiles on their faces and I could not help but wonder where life would take them. Would they be doctors to heal the sick, would they be lawyers, engineers, or would they become teachers to lead the next generation? Or would they be the best moms and dads that any child could have. Would they go through joy in the birth of a child or the sadness in the loss of a child?

This morning around 2:00 am a young man of 26 lost his life. I did not know him personally only though the stories of those that loved him. And as I listened to the stories I remember the children in the hallway going on to their next stage of life.

2 Corinthians 5:5-8 (New King James Version)
5 Now He who has prepared us for this very thing is God, who also has given us the Spirit as a guarantee.?6 So we are always confident, knowing that while we are at home in the body we are absent from the Lord. 7 For we walk by faith, not by sight. 8 We are confident, yes, well pleased rather to be absent from the body and to be present with the Lord.

Larry 'Lalito' lived and loved his family, and he will be missed.
