A Heart As Big As Tejas

Could I get a friend with a bigger heart. I think not. Dahlia has such a heart for people and is always going out of her way to help those in need. I should know because she has blessed me more times than I can count.

We met on this day to share a meal and some good conversation. While we were still outside we were approached by a homeless man asking for help. Without any hesitation Dahlia offered to help him. Then before he walked away knowing that he had not eaten all day she also offered to buy him a meal. The man was amazed that anyone would want to help someone in his condition. So the three of us went inside and had a taco dinner.

While we ate the conversation turned to the word of God and continued on for some time. Then as Dahlia and I finished our meal she said we would stay with him until he was ready to leave. Still being amazed that we would sit and eat with him. He kept saying "I'm OK you can leave I'll be alright". Then thanking us for staying.

Why am I writing about this amazing woman. A few weeks ago Dahlia's eldest son Mike was injured by a homeless man. He saw someone down on the ground in a parking lot and when he went to help, this man hit him and broke his jaw. And now without any thought to what happened to her son Dahlia reached out and helped this homeless man. The fruit does not fall far from the tree, Dahlia.
