Santa Clara - Sally Ride Science Festival

Bayshore Christian Ministries 5th – 8th grade girls had fun at the science festival hosted by in Santa Clara University. There were many workshops for the girls, given by local veterinarians, astronomers, microbiologists. There also workshops for parents and teachers on ways to support girls' interests in science. A street fair with booths, hands-on activities, food, and music. An inspiring talk by Tammy Jernigan—world famous astronaut a veteran of 5 space shuttle missions.
